At Monarch Dentistry, we are committed to your child’s total health!
We emphasize the importance of early prevention, starting with the first dental visit at age one (when the teeth first begin to appear, to promote healthy teeth and gums, and to monitor chewing, digestion, and speech development). Our goal is to create a comfortable and trusting relationship with you and your child resulting in a lifelong commitment to oral health.
Before your child’s first visit.
Parents can prepare their children by role-playing with them. Please keep in mind to treat this appointment and future appointments as routine. This prepares both you and your child for a more relaxing and fun visit.
- Count your child’s teeth, and have them count yours.
- Pretend to take pictures of each other’s teeth.
- take your child along with an older sibling or friend when they go for a routine check-up.
Your child’s first visit.
This is our initial opportunity to screen for cavities and other potential problems. We will offer you tips on how to care for your child’s teeth and answer any questions you may have.
As your child grows older, regular visits to the dentist will encourage an awareness of proper dental hygiene, the link between diet and cavities, and injury prevention. We believe that every child has the right to grow up with a healthy smile and a lifetime of good dental health.
